The Chief Executive officer of De-Sweden foundation, Mr Idris Fadile popularly known as Alooma de Sweden has distributed food items worth millions of Naira to different clans and groups in Kabba, Kabba-bunu local government area of Kogi State.
Idris Fadile who personally was involved in the food distribution to members of Kabba community in his house also marked his birthday.
While speaking to newsmen, the philanthropist said he was moved by compassion to assist the downtrodden in his little way.
He said, such gesture should not be done only during festive period but should be a continuous exercise especially with the effect of Covid-19 pandemic.
One of the beneficiaries, Oloruntoba Solomon, who spoke to newsmen described the empowerment as unprecedented. He prayed God to continuously replenish the donator, saying “no politician has ever done like this for us”. He expressed surprise that it was not even meant as campaign gesture for any political seat”.
Also, a woman who craves anonymity said she just sent a text message to Idris Fadile telling him how Covid-19 has crumbled her business and he sent a sum of ₦500,000 to her to boost her business.
Also, one Hadijat Sule, who was one of the beneficiaries could not express her feelings, was just praying God to replenish the donator. She said Idris Alooma has rescued her from hunger and shame of not having anything to eat during this festive period.
