APPRECIATION:FROM THE TABLE OF THE LEADER, KABBA /BUNU LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL

Introduction

Though, the journey so far has been rough and tough. It is accompanied with so many hurdles/challenges, likewise full of intrigues, interesting and beautiful moments. I say a big thanks to God Almighty for how far He has brought me. Many dreaded encounters while embarking on such political journey but the Lord was with me and He did saw me through.

Appreciation

My deep-hearted appreciation goes to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the 4th and 5th Executive Governor of Kogi State for being an enviable chivalry personality. This was so conspicuous when fate brought me his way on Thursday September 3rd, 2020. We met and His Excellency immediately brought to bear his sincere trust in the ability of people, not minding their gender. His demonstration that fateful day was not conjured neither was it acted. The sincerity of his heart and purpose was way too obvious to be doubted. This act proved further more to me that, Alh. Yahaya Bello is indeed a great-hearted man, who is unapologetically a gender equality advocate.

I appreciate you, Your Excellency for laying an indelible precedence for other Governors in the country to emulate. For not stopping at rhetorics but rather ensured/ensuring that women enjoy the 35% inclusiveness in governance, I make bold to stand at the roof top to declare you the Ambassador of Gender Equality in Africa.

Indeed, Kogi State is a pacesetter with the uncommon initiative of His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello – the Gender Equality Ambassador. You have set a legacy that Kogi women would always be grateful for. On behalf of other female Councillors in the State, I say thank you Your Excellency!

My sincere appreciation goes to my family for their supports both spiritually and financially. I can not thank you enough. My Mom – Mrs Charity Olu-Mosiko, thank you for filling the vacuum my late father left. I believe Prince Olu-Mosiko will be overwhelmingly happy and proud, wherever he is.
