The Ijumu Local Government Senior Special Assistant on Security to the Executive Governor of Kogi State and Chairman Forum of Senior Special Assistants on Security, Hon. Taufiq Isa alongside joint security task force of the local government nabbed criminals causing mayhem in the environs.
At the late hours of yesterday, The Chief security officer got an intelligence report of a man stabbed to a point of death in Ayetoro Gbede, Security agencies (Comprising of police and vigilante services) were immediately mobilized to the scene,After frantic efforts, two of them were arrested and three absconded with injury.
Among the five of them, two has been arrested and currently at the police custody while three is at large with sustained injury.
The two of them has confessed and their ring leader alongside the other two will be arrested.
Meanwhile, another criminal who has been at the run was arrested in the hotel where he was hiding with a lady, He was one of those that robbed a man the sum of 1.8 million naira along Okene-Kabba road in the middle of last month.The victim has identified him as one of the robbers.
However, the man stabbed in Ayetoro Gbede has been taken to the hospital and his medical bills has been footed by the Chief Security officer of Ijumu Local Government, The CSO has directed he should be transferred to a more equipped hospital where he will be taken care.
The local government security officer, vowed to bring all criminals down in his domain.
Meanwhile, Hon. Taufiq Isa and the security agencies heads (Army, Area Commander,Civil Defense) got an intelligence report of some Almajiri’s that are about to be offloaded in Ayere community. They immediately moved to the community and avert it.

Security agencies (most especially the DPO of Ayetoro Gbede Division) and traditional rulers were also commended for their cooperation and understanding in the fight against criminality.
