I have no Intention of Contesting, Taofiq tells Community and Party Leaders

The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government and ALGON Chairman of Kogi State,Hon. Taufiq Isa,has officially debunked the information going round that he is preparing to contest for elective position come 2023.

He made the declaration today when he leads Legislative members, newly screened Supervisory Councilors and appointed Senior Special Assistants to a community leader, Chief J.O Fatoba (Ohi Asiwaju of Ijumu Kindgom) and former Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, Barrister Asubiojo Lewis Tokunbo. He further emphasized that,the Executive Governor of Kogi State,Alh. Yahaya Bello is the leader of the party who believes in the supremacy of the party constitution and at the right time, candidates will emerge through direct, indirect or consensus mode of primaries.

Hon. Taufiq appreciates the Ohi Asiwaju of Ijumu Kingdom for the support and interest he has for the Local Government,He thanked him for the fatherly role he has been playing in making sure our kingdom is peaceful.

The Ohi Asiwaju of Ijumu Kingdom,thanked the Executive Chairman and his team for coming,he equally gave meaningful advice on how the Local Government can be one of the best in Kogi State.

The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government,commended the former special adviser on culture and tourism for his support before, during and after the Local Government elections in Kogi State.

Other speakers who spoke in appreciation of the leaders are: The Vice Chairman of the Local Government,Hon. (Mrs) Racheal Otitolaiye, Ijumu Legislative Council leader,Hon. Omosagba Olayinka, Supervisory Councilor, Hon. Omonaiye Sunday, Senior Special Assistant,Hon. Francis Babalola,Mr. Ade Daramola (Elder Stateman) and Iffe/Ikoyi APC ward Chairman.
