As part of efforts to salvage the pains of the people of Ihale and Taki communities in Kiri Kingdom of Bunu District in Kabba/Bunu LGA especially during raining season, Senator Dino Melaye has included the road as a matter of concern and has also influences that the road be put in shape before the next raining season.
The major challenge on the road is the bridges that links the two communities to other part of Bunu district.
The construction works on the bridges have reached advance stages and hopefully in few weeks from now, the road job will be completed and put in use.
Melaye has put more attention on road network, knowing that roads play a central role in rural development, yet little is known about the size and distribution of benefits from such investments.
Estimating households level benefits from road projects using the relationship between the value of farmland and its distance to agricultural markets especially in our local communities suggests that providing extensive road access to markets would confer substantial benefits on average, much of these going to poor households.
Very soon, Kogi West will begin to enjoy good road network as more roads will be opened to connect our farmers to the market.
