The ijumu local government area of Kogi State recently elected a new executives of the (NULGE), in the local government secretariat.
Swearing in the new executives, the State chairman comrade Tade Adeyemi said the change of baton between the old Exco and the new one was suppose to have taken place since about 7 months ago.
He thanked the local government workers for their understanding, saying there are some local government that is not easily accessible but ijumu local government is a peaceful local government area with one mind of peace and harmony among the workers.
He said this is the 3rd time he has been in ijumu local government, that the election they came for has already be harmonize before their arrival.
He used the occasion to pray for the state governor Alh. Yahaya Bello, congratulating him for his second tenure in office.
He also commended Alh. Taofiq Isah for his good leadership during the period he piloted the local government as an administrator.
In his own remark the new chairman of NULGE Comrade Emmanuel Babatunde thanked the state executives for their understanding and for finding time to come for the election.
He promised that the new executives will not disappoint the local government workers as they will carry every worker along.
He also thanks the outgoing chairman Mr. Dare Asanlaiye.
16 members of the new executives was sworn in by the state chairman. Among whom are: Mr. Dare Emmanuel (Chairman), Mr. Ajishola Rotimi( Vice chairman), Saudat Adamu(Secretary), Ibiyemi Alfred Taiwo (Treasurer), Adeleke Toyin Ambrose (Auditor) with Mr. Olugbemide Ademola (PRO) among others.
