***felicitates with Muslims on Eid al-Fitr celebration
The PDP youth leader, Kabba/Bunu local government, Hon. Oluwakayode Emmanuel on behalf of the local government youth leaders of kogi state, has made a call to the members of the party, following the Saturday tribunal pronouncement dismissing the petition of the party to reclaim the people’s mandate.
He however expressed confidence that the party would reclaim the governorship seat of the state at the Court of Appeal.
He said the judgement of the Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which affirmed the election of Governor Yahaya Bello, was wrong.
According to him, PDP as a peaceful and law abiding party, will continue to follow all legal processes to claim the mandate given to it by the people.
Oluwakayode said: “I want assure you that we will continue to pursue our mandate which was stolen, to the end, as such, I urge all our supporters to remain calm and law abiding.
“Very soon the law will reveal the true picture of the election We should continue to pray for the success of our party, Kogi state and the country at large.”
He urged all party chieftains and supporters and the PDP youths in particular not to be demoralized by the outcome of the tribunal and appreciated them for showing solidarity to the party throughout the court’s proceedings, asking them to remain calm and law abiding.
In another development, Hon. Oluwakayode felicitate with all Muslim faithful for the celebration of this year’s Eid al-Fitr which marks the end of a Holy month.
He said that the Eid al-Fitr celebrations are usually a time when people pack the streets and come together with relatives and friends in large social gatherings, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, countries across the Muslim world have taken steps to curb communal prayers and celebrations this year.
He charges all Muslims to be modest in their celebrations and pray that God will use the prayers throughout the Holy month to intervene and heal our land from the Covid-19.
