Kogi Information Ministry Set To Revolutionise State Through ICT, Digital Economy


The Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kogi State, Evang. Kingsley Fanwo has constituted a committee to develop the roadmap for a revolutionary Kogi State Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and digital economy.

The Committee which has the Senior Special Assistant to Governor, Hon. Ismaila Umar as Chairman is to have the Director of Information Services, Mr Jordan Akpata as member.

Other members of the committee are: Dr. Oluwakemi Ayodele, Chairman of Nigeria Computer Society ( Kogi State Chapter) and Mallam Sanni Mohammed Haruna of Radio Kogi.

A representative each of the office of the Accountant General and the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning are to be members of the Committee while Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, Director of New Media is to serve as secretary.

The committee which will develop the framework for the profitability of the digital economy to the state revenue base is to be inaugurated on Wednesday to commence work immediately thereafter.
