A former councilorship aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Mr. Omofa John, beckoned on APC faithfuls and indeed Kogites to continually support the ruling party, asked his supporters to abide by the decision of the leadership of our great party to have consensus candidates at all levels.
The last few days have witnessed intense political activities that have gripped the attention of the state and created palpable tension in the polity. I strongly believe that the time has now come for the State, local government areas and wards to move forward in order that the gains of the last four and half years are not lost.
Dear Kogites, APC is a great party and the interests of our beloved State, local government areas and wards must always supercede that of any person or group. It is in this regard that I wholeheartedly congratulate all the consensus candidates of the Kogi State APC Primaries, and urge all Kogites to immediately support our party’s chairmanship and councilorship candidates in the 2020 election and work for the success of our dear party.
I therefore appeal to all our party members that we remain one family and unite behind the candidate of the party, so that we can continue to move this state, local government areas and wards forward.
The progress of Kogi state is non-negotiable. It is a project that I have passionately worked for in the last four and half years as a faithful and loyal member of APC. We clinically ignored names calling, insults and open attacks from friends, neighbours and opposition parties (PDP, SDP, and ADC) just because we gave our best to GYB-CEDO mandate.
I wish to use this opportunity to thank all our leaders, elders and the leadership of our great party at state, local government area and ward levels, all party faithfuls and all Kogites for their strong support to GYB-CEDO “Let’s Do More” mandate.
I thank all APC members in Iluke Ward for their faith and trust in me. I urge you not to relent in your support for our party as we prepare for the General Elections.
Long Live Kogi State
Long Live Kabba/Bunu LGA
Long Live Iluke Ward
Long Live APC
