KOGI POLY ACTING RECTOR FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS AT CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR

…Urges Emulation of the Life of Jesus Christ

The Acting Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman, has felicitated with Christian faithful in the Polytechnic, Kogi State and the country as a whole as they celebrate Christmas and New year.

Dr. Usman appreciated God for His love and protection in the current year in spite of the numerous challenges that unfolded, and charged christians to use the moment to attract more of His grace through the entrenchment of the true tenents and teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasises selflessness, piety, kindness and love for one another.

In a statement signed by Uredo Omale, Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Dr Usman, on behalf of the Academic Board and Management of the institution, also urged all Nigerians, irrespective of religious persuasions, to use the Yuletide to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity.

“While I congratulate all and sundry for the grace to be part of this year’s festivities, it should not be lost on us that we owe our nation greater devotions through prayers and selfless service”, the statement added.

While extending his warmest felicitations to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his outstanding leadership which has fostered unity and promoted peace in the State, Dr Usman reiterated his commitment to the promotion of the Governor’s vision through quality teachings and excellent leadership in the institution.

He also congratulated all elected and appointed government officials in the State for the grace and privilege to be part of the auspicious moments.

He urged the people to use the occasion to pray for the leadership of the State so as to enable the Governor and his team deliver more dividends of democracy.

The Acting Rector prayed God to guard and guide staff, students and other members of the Polytechnic community within the period and beyond, and urged members of the Community not to relent in their support for the institution as it drives towards excellence.

Dr Usman wishes staff and students of the Polytechnic, government and good people of the State and all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
