The SSA on Security Matters to Kogi State Governor, Hon Ariyo Adebayo congratulates Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy Chief Edward Onoja on their victory at the tribunal court sitting in Abuja today.

In a statement by his Media Aide, Omofa John, the SSA hailed the tribunal’s verdict affirming the governor vicrory in the November 16, 2019 governorship poll.

The Kogi State Governorship Election Tribunal on Saturday dismissed the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Wada/Aro, describing their cases as mere documentary hearsay since they can’t prove their petitions beyond reasonable doubt therefore, it regarded to be discountenanced.

The SSA further noted that lovers of democracy must commend the resilience of the judiciary in deepening the country’s democracy through its sound judgments.

“On behalf of the good people of Kabba/Bunu local government area, I congratulate our Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, on his victory at the Tribunal.

“I congratulate the leadership and all members of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), on this victory,” Ariyo said.

Ariyo said: “Saturday’s judgment of the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal affirming Governor Yahaya Bello electoral victory has further demonstrated that your election was indeed a true reflection of the wishes of your people.

“You ran a clean, peaceful, issues-based campaign. You were, by far, the most popular and most qualified of the governorship candidates. You truly deserved your victory.

“Kogi State needs more development. Having made success in your first tenure, you are best placed to continue this in Kogi.

“I am elated for the Tribunal affirmation of the victory of mandate freely given by the majority of voters in the State.

Hearty congratulations to all and sundry.

Signed:
Omofa John.
