The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Olamaboro Local Government Chapter has elected new Officials to pilot the affairs of the Council in the Area.
The new Leaders emerged via affirmation in a peaceful election held at the Local Government Secretariat, Okpo on Monday.
The Congress Planning Committee Chairman in charge of the election into the Council across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State, Mallam Haroun Opotu-Yussuf commended the peaceful conduct of delegates and youths in Olamaboro.
Mallam Yussuf-Opotu who is the pioneer Chairman of NYCN in the State, noted that the emergence of the new officials was a call to service, urging them to justify the trust repose in them by youths in the Area.
According to him, NYCN in Kogi State has enjoyed massive support from the present administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, saying youths must reciprocate the gesture by being responsible in their endeavors.
He explained that the Contributions of the State Deputy Governor, Chief David Edward Onoja to the Council is numerous and commendable.
The CPC Chairman said “Olamaboro is a lucky Local Government being the first to conduct election in Kogi East. This is the home of our beloved Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja (CEDO) for being supportive to NYCN in Kogi State. The history of the Council under the new direction administration cannot be complete without CEDO.”
He charged youths to ensure discipline and dress well at all times.
The Coordinator Elect for Olamaboro NYCN, Edoka Daniel thanked stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him and promised to carry everyone along in the scheme of things.
