SSA SECURITY (YAGBA EAST) MEETS WITH HOTELIERS IN YAGBA EAST LGA

    Towards fostering a crime free yagba east, Hon Abdulwakil Sule earlier today met with the association of hoteliers in his office at the local government Secretariat. 

 The meeting became imparative to assess the security situation of the local government and critically analyze the roles of hoteliers towards crime monitoring, prevention and intelligence gathering. 

Hon Abdulwakil Sule welcomed the association to his office and made presentations on Government’s position as regards the security of lives and properties.

He said the ugly incident that happened in isanlu, yagba east could have been forestalled if all critical stakeholders and partner’s in the areas of development played thier roles effectively citing a situation where people alleged that the criminals who perpetuated the develish act were lodged at a particular hotel in the town and wondered why such strange faces were not reported to the security agencies.

The SSA said such trend of not properly registering guests in hotels would further be met with serious sanctions from the government and urged the hoteliers to seriously comply with the directive of installing at least a two way CCTV camera at the premises of thier hotels.

 He also charged them to always volunteer and secretly give information about strange guests with criminal tendencies to security agencies. 

He posited that his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello his father has zero tolerance for crime and also said as his representative in the LGA, nothing fall short of the standard of the governor of the state is expected.

The hoteliers who spoke one after the other however denied the claims that some of the criminals were lodged in thier facilities before striking and said those were rumours peddled by people who are bent of causing confusion in the town.

They said though the cost of installing a CCTV camera is on the high side but however nothing is too expensive to secure lives and properties.

They promised to comply with the government's directive of proper registration of guests and also said suspicious guests will henceforth be reported to security agencies. 

Hon Abdulwakil Sule concluded by saying he needs thier cooperation to succeed in his Quest in making yagba East a crime free society.
