The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area and Kogi State ALGON Chairman,Hon. Taufiq Isa dispelled rumours that he is fighting party stalwarts in the Local Government as he urge stakeholders to regard and give him the maximum respect he deserves as the Executive Chairman.
The council chairman made the assertion today at the local government secretariat,when he hosted elected and appointed representatives. He assured them that he cannot fight any one,as he cannot stand to destroy what the house he built. The ALGON Chairman said what he has been doing is to unite politicians for the task ahead, because his principal Alh. Yahaya Bello becoming the President of Nigeria is a duty for all meaningful kogites and for his sake he won’t engage anyone in any political fight.
The Executive Chairman also made clarification on the signing of citizenship,he made it known that since when he was appointed,his secretaries has been the one signing them but presently Reformation is ongoing on the modalities therein,we can’t afford those who are not citizens of the Local Government to continue to take our slots in higher institutions or working places.
In a review of his three months in office,he announced the Senior Special Assistant on Security,Alh. Sherifdeen Ibrahim as the outstanding/best appointee. As a sign of honor,he has directed the Secretary to the Local Government to make available a letter of credence,place his photograph in the Chairman’s office and donated a sum of two hundred thousands naira (200,000) to him.
