The SSA to the executive governor of Kogi State on women and youth mobilisation, Hon Segun Olobatoke has paid JAMB fees for 100 indigent students in the Federal constituency. Constiteuncy.
According to Olobatoke, the gesture was part of his contributions to the educational upliftment of indigent students and the poor in his constituency.
The Federal House of Representatives contender stated that Education is topmost in his agenda for the constituency. Notably amongst areas of concern is.1. provide all students with access to a well-rounded education; 2. improve school conditions for student learning; and 3. improve the use of technology in order to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy for all students.
“I believe the settlement of the JAMB fees would be of help to our young and upcoming leaders.
“It is my belief also that when we give the young ones the desired educational support, not even the sky will be their limit; moreso that education is the bedrock of any society,’’ Olobatoke said.
He urged other well-meaning public officers, spirited individuals and organisational bodies to emulate the gesture and touch the lives of the people within their domains.
