Presented by: Pastor

Presented by: Pastor Obadofin Obadiah
A story of husband and wife; the husband ask his wife this question: if I die can you raise me? The wife started rebuking him in prayers: you will not die. Years after, the man fell into the hands of the devil by impregnating a lady in the church. The wife got the information and felt bad. Still thinking on what to do, the man said to his wife, now I am dead, can you raise me? To raise him means; to forgive, forget, love, cover his secret and teach him the word of God etc. [ proverbs 27:17] As iron sharpeneth iron, so is person sharpens another.
CHURCH STAKEHOLDERS [1 Timothy 3:1-14]
SOME ROLES [ I Peter 5:1-4 ]
Generously providing fund for the church growth.
Encourage leaders [pastor] with wise leadership practices.
Committing to pray for the church.
‘’ we have different gift according to the grace given to each of us, if your gift is serving, then serve, if it is giving, then give generously, if it is to lead, do it diligently, if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.[ Romans 12:6-7]
Tent stakeholders: They start with you; it’s good to have someone help you either bad or good persons. They are always a gift in the startup season.
Mis-take stakeholders: These are frustrated people in the ministry; they will never contribute positively because they have not really caught the vision. verse 7 for an overseer as Gods steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain. Sweep stakeholders; strategically advance the work of God, they may not be around, but they are willing to invest their resource in the church, silent prayer warriors. Lifted high stakeholders: They are the lifters of the ministry, when you bet the farm, they did too. They have the mentality of the ‘’ owner’’[ Exodus 17:12 when Moses hands grew tire, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it Aaron and Hur held his hands up one on one side, one on the other-so that his hands remained steady till sunset. ] Eat the steak holders: They are the staff and employees, they live on mission, they are crucial carriers of the vision e.g Drivers, Guards, PAs, secretary,
STAKE BEHOLDERS: their combined presence gives a cumulative credibility and substance to the ministry, and they are loyal people Give them the right instruction; they will do it.[ prophet Elijah and the widow of Zarephath I kings 17:13]
Internal stakeholder: this is the one that exist inside the work we are call to do. [ John 9:4 ] I most work the work of him that sent me while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Are you a stakeholders or a stay colder? Jesus warned, there would come a time when; Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold [Matthew 24:12]
Love has grown cold when church is about what we want instead of what Jesus wants.
Love has grown cold when our hearts is away from those dying without Christ.
Love has grown cold when we rush out of church service for other activity. [1 peter 1:22] be a good stakeholder.
MISSION OF THE CHURCH [CAC constitution chapter 1 for details]
To proclaim the gospel throughout the world and make disciples of all kinds of people, go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observed all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age [Mathew 28:19-20]. The two components are: Evangelism and Discipleship. Evangelism is the ministry of proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ that will bring men soul into fellowship with God. Discipleship is the training of believers to become disciplined followers of Jesus and his principles.
To serve as a community of worship and fellowship, to manifest the presence and love of Jesus. ‘’ for where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them [ Mathew 18:20]’’
To strengthen the body of believers and equip them for works of ministry. And he himself gave some to be APOSTLE, some PROPHET, some EVANGELIST, and some PASTORS and TEACHERS for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ [Ephesians 4:11-12].
To represent the interest of the kingdom of God in the world. You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden [Mathew 5:13-14].
It is the GUIDANCE provided by church leaders as they LEAD the church to use its spiritual, human physical and financial resources to move the church toward reaching its objectives and fulfilling its purpose.
To avoid confusion: chapter viii no. 4[d] ‘’in the course of service inside the church building, money shall not be pasted on the brow of anyone neither shall any money be collected for the choir as a result of singing’’
It gives room for adequate planning and places responsibility [Ephesians 4:11-12].
It brings about division of labour. As Jethro told Moses about his assignment. The things is too heavy for you, you are not able to perform it along. [Exodus 18:18] no one is strong enough or smart enough to do it all.
It helps to build continuity in church program.

WRONG ADMINISTRATION: if not address at appropriate time may lead to challenges of insecurity. It is not a gain saying that wrong or bad leaders give birth to bad administrations.

Insecurity is to lack confidence or trust, whether in our selves or someone else. [Genesis 13:7-11] ‘’And quarreling arose between Abrams herders and lots the Canaanites and Perizzite were also living in the land at that time. So Abram said to lot, lets not have any quarreling between you and me or between your herders and mine, for we are close relative. Is not the whole land before you? Lets part company. If you go to the left, I will go to the right, if you go to right, I will go to the left. Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the land of Egypt [this was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.]. SO LOT CHOSE FOR HIMSELF the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company.’’

Insecurity and terrorism has been a major challenge to the government in recent times. The activities of the Islamic sect [Boko Haram] had led to loss of live and properties in the country especially in the northern part of Nigeria. Some of these activities include bombing, burning of police/Army stations, churches, mosque, kidnapping of school children [Greenfield university], rape, armed robbery and political crisis, murder, destruction of oil facilities by militants alongside the attack carried out by Fulani herdsmen in some communities. Nigeria has been included among one of the terrorist countries of the world. Many live and properties have been lost and a large number of citizens rendered homeless. Families have lost their loved ones. Many women are now widows. Children become orphans with no hope of the future. [Mathew 24:1-13]. People are been affected by Social, Professional, Economic and Personal insecurity. This has implication for national development and the church. Government had made frantic efforts to tackle these challenges posed by terrorism and insecurity, but the rate of insurgency and insecurity is still alarming. The main causes of insecurity are: YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT, CORRUPTION, and WEAK JUDICIAL SYSTEM among others.

The church most rise up to it responsibility in tackling insecurity. We must pray to avert the spark of war emanating from those who have forgotten the Biafra war of 6th July, 1967. War means: killing, raping, suffering, starvation or hunger, no home, dead, lost of properties, no education, no market, no family etc. we must separate politics, religion, ethnicity from insecurity.

Prayers for the nation: [I Timothy 2:1-3] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men, for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Preach peace: God is interested in our peace and in our living in peace with one another. [Hebrew 12:14] follow peace with all men, and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord
Sound message: we must shun sycophancy and flattering [ Isaiah 5:20] woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.
Equality before God [Malachi 2:10] have we not all one father? Hath not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Guiding our lips: [Malachi 2:7] for the priests lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. Train the child to have fear of God: [proverbs 22:6] train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Promote dialogue, constant communication and interaction among religious body. CAN and JAMAATU NASRIL ISLAM [JNI] as a good example.
Partner With The Government And Security Agency. [ Romans 13:1-6]
To provide gainful employment, hearth care, functional and useful education and other social amenities for it members and the country at large.
Warning the people of consequences of sin [Ezekiel 3:17-21] son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

SEEK AND TRUST IN GOD: [Jeremiah 17:7-8] blessed is the man who trusts in the lord, and whose hope is the lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. [Isaiah 54:17] but no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servant of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me, says the Lord. [Psalm 121:1] I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

Fellow stakeholders, the task ahead is enormous, but together with God, we can do all things. God is the agent of that INTERVENTION. THY KINGDOM COME. [Matthew 6:10a] the kingdom of God is eternal. [Psalm 103:19] the lord has established his throne in heaven; his kingdom extends over everything. [Psalm 24:1] the Lord owns the earth and all it contains, the world and all who live in it. [Deuteronomy 4:6-8] when God delivered Israel from Egypt, he again establishes his kingdom. [I Samuel 17:40] When the lord delivered David from Goliath he establishes his kingdom. [Daniel 6:16] When God delivered Daniel from the den of lion He establishes his kingdom. [Daniel 3:24] When God join Sheldrake, Meshach and Abednego in fire He establishes his kingdom. Let the kingdom come by accepting Jesus as your lord and personal savior today. [Ecclesiast 12:13] let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God, and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man.

PRAYER POINT: Lord Jesus helps me to be a good stakeholder in your vineyard and protect us from all form of insecurity.

Thanks and God bless you all
God Bless Felele Zone and CAC world-wide
